The Weathervane continues their commitment to children and young audiences not only by offering 'family-friendly' Mainstage productions, but also by continuing to develop and promote a wide range of performance and learning experiences.

The PATCHWORK PLAYERS performance company offers a full season of shows during the summer, directed toward our youngest audience members.  Staffed by members of the INTERN COMPANY, which offers college-age (and beyond) young adult performers a chance to learn and grow in an accredited and intensive training environment.  Use the Patchwork underlined link to see the new shows for 2008!

For children with an active interest in theatre arts, the WINDSOCK CAMP offers three weeks of day camp sessions from introductory to advanced for would-be thespians -- expanded for the first time to all-day sessions! . . . follow the underlined link for all new 2008 info.

And for some children, as well as adults, the Weathervane offers a Mainstage experience by holding auditions for COMMUNITY PERFORMERS each June. 
Save the date for Community Auditions:  Saturday morning, June 21.  Adults, and children - including some roles in Patchwork shows!  Check back for additional and specific info as available.

 

PATCHWORK SHOWS are fun for kids of every age!  And part of the fun is the post-performance time when audience members and cast alike can enjoy an informal meeting, photo opps, and the frequent snack.

In 2006, Patchwork 'on the road' travelled to Colebrook for a Wednesday morning performance at the Elementary School.  Hosted by the Rec Program and sponsored by the Colebrook Chronicle/Lancaster Herald, the visit was a great success for all!

The PATCHWORK PLAYERS perform (most) Fridays at the Weathervane red barn Theatre on Route 3, Whitefield.  Alternate Wednesdays find them at the Colonial Theatre in Bethlehem . . . and special appearances at Twin Mountain and Whitefield Community Days are also part of the summer fun.  See the Patchwork link for more details about their 2006 schedule, and 2007 schedule as available.
